YARD WASTE Collection is available to all residents who are eligible for solid waste collection (from single-family homes up to and including 4-plex units).
The hauler for yard waste is: Waste Management. Residents may call Waste Management at 244-7336 if there are any issues with collection.
Yard waste is picked up on your regular garbage collection day. Please place bags at least three (3) feet from your garbage and recycling carts and make sure you get them to the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection.
Yard Waste Season
The yard waste Compost It! season in 2020 is from April 6 through November 28. However, residents may place yard waste out for collection during the two weeks following Christmas (December 28, 2020 - January 8, 2021).
Compost It! Bags and Stickers
Compost It! bags can be purchased from many local grocery, convenience and hardware stores for $8.00 + tax per bundle (5 bags).
A yard waste sticker is NOT required if the bags say Compost It! on the front. Yard Waste stickers may also be purchased at most grocery and hardware stores at a cost of $1.25 per sticker. There is no limit to the number of yard waste bags you may put out on the curb.
Requirements for Bundling Yard Waste
Bundles of brush must be no more than 18 inches in diameter and no more than 4 feet in length. Bundles should not exceed 40 pounds and must be bound with rope, twine or string. One (1) yard waste sticker must be attached to each bundle. There is no limit to the number of bundles you may put out on the curb.
Premium Yard Waste Collection
Premium Yard Waste is an optional service that provides residents with the convenience of a wheeled container for the weekly collection of yard waste. The 96-gallon cart holds the equivalent of three bags of yard and garden waste. Excess yard waste can be put in standard Compost It! bags or as stickered bundles and placed with the wheeled container at the curb. Click here to learn more about this program.
