Animal control services for the City of West Des Moines are provided by Neighborhood Service Specialists!
These employees are part of the West Des Moines Public Services Department and will respond to calls including dogs and cats at large, wildlife issues, barking dogs, animal cruelty, animal neglect, and animal bites.
Neighborhood Service Specialists are available Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (excluding City-observed holidays).
