Neighborhood Service Specialists provide animal control for the City of West Des Moines. As part of the Public Services Department, they assist residents with issues involving domestic animals and local wildlife.

Service Hours
Specialists are available during the following times (excluding City holidays):
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
After-Hours Emergencies: If you need help outside of business hours, please call 911 or contact Westcom non-emergency dispatch at 515-222-3321.
