Fingerprinting Services

We provide fingerprinting services for the public at the West Des Moines Police Department. Please review the requirements and scheduling options below.

Hours & Fees

  • Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Cost: $15.00 per card
  • Payment: We accept cash and most major credit cards.

How to Schedule

We accept walk-ins, but there may be a wait. We recommend using our online system to guarantee a time slot.

  • Appointments are booked in one-hour windows.
  • You can pre-pay online to save time during your visit.

Requirements

You must bring your own fingerprint cards. Because different agencies have different requirements, we do not provide the cards for you.
