Our Impact

We work to promote and protect the outdoor spaces that make West Des Moines a great place to live, including:

  • More than 1,500 acres of parkland and the 632-acre Raccoon River Park.
  • Over 69 miles of biking and walking trails.
  • Popular facilities like Aquatic Centers, Dog Parks, and the RecPlex.
  • The Five Waters Project, which focuses on five major signature projects for our city.

How You Can Help

We invite you to join us in keeping our community vibrant. There are many ways to get involved:

  • Volunteer: Give your time at special events or serve on our Board of Directors.
  • Donate: Your gifts help us preserve land and wildlife for future generations.
  • Advocate: Share our mission with your neighbors to help strengthen our quality of life.
