West Des Moines Parks and Recreation manages over 1,500 acres of land, including 31 parks, 81 miles of trails, and several nature areas. We also run many local favorites:

• Facilities: Two aquatic centers, a dog park, a community center, an amphitheater, a recreation complex, and a boathouse.
• Activities: Sports for kids and adults, nature programs, art classes, and community events.
• Specialty Spots: An archery facility, a softball complex, and a sprayground.
