DirectionFinder® Survey Overview

The City of West Des Moines conducted its 11th DirectionFinder® Survey in the Summer of 2024. Administered by the ETC Institute, this survey measures how satisfied residents are with major City services.

The results help the City Council determine priorities for the community as part of our ongoing planning process.

Survey Methodology

  • Frequency: Conducted approximately every two years since 2002.
  • Sample Size: A random sample of more than 500 respondents.
  • Accuracy: The results have a 95% confidence level with a margin of error of +/- 4.4%.
