Datacenter Academy

West Des Moines Human Services, in partnership with Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), is proud to offer an exciting workforce opportunity for our clients through a specialized datacenter training program. This unique program, developed and led by DMACC, will educate and train individuals to staff, maintain, and service the growing number of computer networks located within datacenters throughout Iowa — a rapidly expanding industry in central Iowa and beyond.

Through this strong partnership, West Des Moines Human Services will facilitate the application process and work closely with clients to identify qualified candidates. We will also provide ongoing support to a cohort of ten individuals who will begin training on September 1st.

This is an incredible tuition-free opportunity for those looking to enter the workforce—especially in a high-demand, technology-focused field. Participants will benefit from DMACC’s expert instruction and a supportive environment that builds not only technical skills but also career confidence and professional connections.

To be eligible, applicants must have previously used services provided by West Des Moines Human Services, such as our Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Emergency Financial Assistance, Utility Assistance, or other special programming.
