The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps qualifying Iowa homeowners and renters pay a portion of their primary heating costs. If approved, a one-time payment is made directly to your utility vendor.

2025-2026 Application Schedule

  • Seniors (60+) or Persons with Disabilities: October 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026
  • All other households: November 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026
