Emergency Financial Assistance

The Emergency Financial Assistance Program provides partial payments for West Des Moines residents in a financial crisis. We assist with rent, mortgages, and utility bills (gas, electric, and water).

Monday – Friday | 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

Homeless Prevention

We offer support to help qualifying West Des Moines residents stay in their homes and avoid eviction or foreclosure.

Rent/Evictions or Mortgage

Rent, Eviction, or Mortgage Support

Financial Help: Partial payments for monthly rent, mortgages, or deposits.
Landlord Relations: We can help you communicate with your landlord or mortgage holder.
Referrals: We connect you with other agencies for additional funding if needed.

Note: We do not provide funding for temporary housing, such as hotels or motels. If approved, there must be at least 18 months between requests for financial assistance.
