The Birthday Heroes Program helps make every child's birthday special! You can register your children for the program online. Please review the requirements below to see if your household is eligible.

Who Can Participate

  • Location: You must live in West Des Moines.
  • Income: You must meet our income eligibility guidelines.
  • Age: Each child in your home, up to age 18, is eligible.

How It Works

During your child's birthday month, you will receive an email when their gift is ready. You can then pick up the gift at our office. If available, we also provide a "Birthday Bag Kit" which includes cake mix, frosting, candles, balloons, plates, and napkins.

Please note: This program has a limited number of gifts and works on a first-come, first-served basis. If a gift is not picked up within 30 days of notification, it will be restocked and the household will be removed from the program.
