Update

West Des Moines Police have located the missing child. He is safe and being reunited with his family. 

Initial release

The West Des Moines Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing person, Edgar Aguilar Villalta. He is a Hispanic 11-year-old male with brown eyes and curly black hair. Edgar is approximately 4’0” in height and weighs about 130 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a maroon shirt and red swimming shorts. Edgar was last seen in the area of Raccoon River Park, in West Des Moines, near the railroad tracks headed northbound on foot.
