Willow Springs Park is an 8-acre neighborhood gem serving the Westridge and Ponderosa Valley communities. Opened in 1999, the park was recently renovated with a cheerful hot air balloon-themed playground and has a seamless connection to the regional trail system.
Environmental Innovation
A unique feature of Willow Springs is the bioswale along the northern edge. This natural filtration system captures sediment from stormwater before it reaches Ponderosa Creek, protecting the local wildlife and the health of the greater Des Moines watershed.
