Scenic Valley Park is located on 8.27 acres of land located in the south-central part of West Des Moines. Scenic Valley Park was established in 1999 and has since become a family favorite in West Des Moines. A .35 mile loop trail is a special amenity of Scenic Valley Park, and its open play space, basketball court, and playground equipment make for a dynamic park. In 2017, Landon Stull, a neighborhood youth, presented the idea for the installation of a GaGa Ball pit to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. He received approval for the installation, and his family kindly donated the labor for the GaGa Ball pit, and Gilcrest/Jewett Lumber Company donated the lumber for the project. 

Facilities include:

• Picnic shelter with grill (first come, first serve)
• Restrooms (open April 15 - October 15, weather permitting)
• Play equipment (2-5 and 5-12 year-old sections)
• Large open playfield
• Basketball court (non-lighted)
• GaGa Ball Pit
