Tucked away on the northeast side of town, Pearson Park has long been a favorite among West Des Moines residents. The 8.49-acre natural oasis is cherished for its rolling hills, mature trees, and brilliant display of daffodils each spring. The south entrance includes a charming wooden bridge over a naturalized wetland, and the nearby hill is a popular location for sledding in the winter.

Facilities include:
- Rentable picnic shelter with grill
- Restrooms (open April 15 - October 15, weather permitting)
- Play equipment (2 to 5-year-old and 5 to 12-year-old sections)
- Hilly greenspace with shady areas provided by mature trees
- Basketball court (non-lit)
- Parking lots to the north and south
- Wooden pedestrian bridge
