Maple Grove Park is a vibrant community space located on the city’s northwest side. Created through a partnership between the City of West Des Moines and the Waukee Community School District, this park sits directly next to Maple Grove Elementary, providing expansive room for sports, play, and neighborhood gatherings.
Park Amenities & Features
Playgrounds: Features dedicated equipment for toddlers (ages 2–5) and older children (ages 5–12). These play areas are shared with Maple Grove Elementary.
Sports & Courts: Includes a basketball court and a tennis court striped for Pickleball (both non-lighted), plus a softball backstop.
Picnic Shelter: A shaded shelter with a grill, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Loop Trail: Enjoy a peaceful stroll or bike ride on the .52-mile paved loop trail.
Open Playfield: A large grassy area perfect for team practices or flying kites.
Restrooms: Facilities are open seasonally from April 15 – October 15, weather permitting.
