An Emergency Snow Parking Ban goes into effect for West Des Moines at 6 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, and will be in effect until 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 14.
The Emergency Parking Ban applies to all streets in West Des Moines. During an Emergency Parking Ban, vehicles are subject to a $50 fine and/or towing.

Aquatic Centers Rules and Policies
Refunds or rain checks are not provided to patrons if the pool is closed.
The City of West Des Moines is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Swim diapers are required for all children who are not toilet-trained.
All children 9 years and younger must be supervised at all times by a person at least 16 years of age.
All patrons must be 48 inches or taller to ride the waterslides.
Patrons are not permitted to bring food, drinks, or lawn chairs into the facility. The City of West Des Moines reserves the right to inspect baggage or carry-in parcels.
Coast-Guard-approved life jackets and floatation devices are allowed if the individual is within arm's length of an attendant over the age of 16.
The Aquatic Centers are tobacco and nicotine-free facilities per the Iowa Smokefree Air Act.
Weather Closure Policy:If the temperature is below 70°F, or if there are 25 or fewer people at Holiday Aquatic Center or 50 or fewer at Valley View Aquatic Center over a one-hour period, or in the event of severe weather, facilities may close at the discretion of authorized staff. Pools may also close early on days with inclement weather, with notice provided to the public.

Early Bird Discount
Purchase your passes between December 1 and March 31 to receive a 10% discount. Use code WDM2026 at checkout.
Important Pass Information
Infant Passes: Children aged 2 and under do not need to be included in family memberships. You will need to obtain a separate, free Infant Pass. While photos are optional for these, ID cards are mandatory as infants count towards pool capacity.
Photo IDs: All pass holders require an individual photo for their ID card. Please watch the provided instructional video for guidance on proper photo uploads.
Purchase & Pickup:
Passes purchased with valid photos uploaded by May 15 will have their ID cards mailed directly to you. After May 16, all passes must be picked up during business hours at either WDM City Hall (4200 Mills Civic Parkway) or the Valley Junction Activity Center (217 5th Street).

In-Person: Available starting December 1. At WDM City Hall (4200 Mills Civic Parkway) or the Valley Junction Activity Center (217 5th Street) during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
Aquatic Centers: Available at the West Des Moines Aquatic Centers during their operating hours, but purchasing earlier is recommended to avoid lines.
Tips for a Smooth Experience
Avoid the Rush: Purchasing your season passes at City Hall or the Valley Junction Activity Center before the aquatic centers open is highly recommended to skip the lines.
Pass Validity: Season passes are valid at Holiday, Valley View, and Clive Aquatic Centers.
