Huston Ridge

Huston Ridge Park is named after the cemetery where the Huston Family is buried. James B. Huston was the first to settle in Dallas County. His home served as a stagecoach station, tavern, post office, and a stop on the Underground Railroad.

The Huston Cemetery just Northeast of Mills Civic Parkway and less than half a mile southwest of Huston Ridge Park. The 2.43 acres for Huston Ridge park was acquired over five years from 2007 to 2012.

Facilities include:

  • Picnic shelter with grill (first come, first serve)
  • Play equipment (2-5 and 5-12 year-old sections)
  • Large open playfield
  • Basketball court (non-lighted)
  • Park Map
