WDM Human Services and the West Des Moines Community School District work together to provide the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at Legion Park for all children under 18 years of age. The program was created by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals during school vacations when they do not have access to school meals. The Summer Food Service Program helps children get the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow throughout the summer months.  There are no income requirements or registration necessary. Adults can pay $3.50 for lunch. meals are served on a first come, first served basis.

Location:    Legion Park Shelter, 4th & Vine, West Des Moines

Dates:        Monday-Friday - June 4th through August 16th (excluding June 28th, July 4th & July 5th)

Time:         12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Lunches will be served rain or shine!
