Lots for development are created through the Preliminary and Final Plat Subdivision Process. The Final Plat is recorded as a permanent legal document that includes both an accurate legal description, as well as a graphical illustration of property that is divided. The Final Plat is the final step in the subdivision process. Final Plats require only the approval of the City Council.
Prior to proceeding for approval, all sureties, legal documents, easements, agreements, and public use dedications and must be executed and provided to staff prior to the Final Plat being placed on a City Council agenda for approval.
