**Annual Dog Park Permits are available beginning December 1 each year**
Need a place to let your dog run off some excess energy? Dogs of all shapes and sizes enjoy romping through the 10 acre fenced play area of the Raccoon River Park Dog Park. The facility is open daily, year round from 6:30 a.m. until dusk and features areas for both large and small dogs. The park, located just to the east of the softball complex, is also a great place to meet other dog lovers and enjoy each others pets.
Users are required to purchase a Dog Park Permit to utilize the facility. Permits are available at the Parks & Recreation Administrative Office weekdays 8am-5pm (4200 Mills Civic Parkway, 515-222-3444) or the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge weekdays 8am-5pm (2500 Grand Ave, 515-222-3424). Call the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge to inquire about the possibility of an after-hour purchase based on staff availability. Proof of parvo/distemper and rabies vaccinations are required to purchase permits.
